Prestigious Intensive Courses

In the summer of 2000, EF will be hosting an International Summer School at the University of Cambridge. Intensive English Language courses for students of all ability levels will be offered for course lengths of between two and six weeks.

Participants from countries around the world will live, study and take their meals in prestigious Clare College. For everyone leaving with an EF Course Certificate, the academic and Career benefits will be significant. For this reason, early enrolment is strongly advised.

Summertime in Cambridge

The city of Cambridge has been one of the world's most important centres of learning for more than 800 years, and its traditions are reflected in the beauty of its buildings, the richness of its cultural life and the enthusiasm of its student population.

Summer in Cambridge is a time for punting on the River Cam in a flat-bottomed boat, arts and drama festivals, picnics in the countryside, and tennis matches and afternoon tea.

Historic Clare College

Founded in 1326, Clare College stands in the heart of the city, near to King's College Chapel and only minutes from the colourful market square. From the College's ancient courtyards and gardens, a stroll through the ancient heart of the city takes you to Colony Court, a student residence with comfortable single and double study bedrooms. Lessons are held in classrooms adjoining the residence, and meals are taken in Old Court.

The Backs, the college grounds that lie between the college and the river, are some of the prettiest areas in the city. You will have plenty of time to explore here during your stay.

Explore England with EF

The EF will arrange visits to Cambridge's fine museums , theatres, and restaurants, as well as a wide range of first- class sports facilities. London's famous attractions are only an hour away by train, so a visit to Buckingham Palace or Westminster Abbey is a must. weekend excursions will give you a chance to see the very best of England.
